I’m slowly getting back into the groove after enjoying a long weekend, and I think being nominated for something is a great way to go into a Tuesday with a smile. Someone recently nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award, and if I’m being honest, I don’t know how to describe how I’m feeling. Being nominated for this award kind of reminds me that I already chose to put myself out here, in the blogging world.
Bring out the firecrackers, because it’s my birthday! While I spent most of the day at work, I’m very happy with how this birthday went. It was nice to come home to a dinner with my family, knowing that we’re all safe, healthy, and pretty happy. It’s also so easy to slip into the mindset of how this birthday is so different from all of my other birthdays. There are so many things to do in the world, and I was happiest having dinner with my family. I think that says something about how I’m coping with quarantine. Anyway, in honor of turning 23, today’s blog post is a list of 23 things I want to do once quarantine is over.
Day 14, which means that, in addition to finishing this blog challenge, I’m starting a new year in my life. While I won’t be able to really go out and celebrate, I can still use this time to set my intentions and think about what I want and what I don’t in this coming year in my life. For today’s blog, I wanted to share the things that I don’t want to bring with me in this coming year of my life.
Something fun about May is that it is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, which is something to add to the long list of things that I get to celebrate at this time of year. While I initially wanted to talk all about why I value my heritage and how it’s contributed to the person I am, I thought I would keep it more lighthearted and fun since we’re halfway through the week. There’s a graphic going around Instagram created by the user @procrastin.azn, and it’s titled “30 Days of API Pride.” Instead of doing 30 days, I thought I would just answer them all for day 13 of my blogging challenge today.
Quarantine has been long, and I have found out that I will be going back to work tomorrow. A few days ago, I got back into the habit of doing my makeup. It might be silly, but quarantine has me feeling like a blob sometimes. Doing my makeup has made me feel more productive and it’s added something to my day. So for day 12 of my blogging challenge, I thought I would share what’s in my make-up bag.
Since today is National Eat What You Want Day, I thought we would do some more dreaming together. I’m going to start a new diet in a week, and so I am going to plan a menu out for my last meal before I die. I love food, but not I’m not an expert. The result is that I haven’t listed anything fancy, except for the fact that it fill be a 12-course affair. That way, I can have all the desires of my heart. Read on to find out what I would want to eat before dying.
I gotta say that it’s really satisfying knowing that I’ve made it to day 8 of my blogging challenge. I’m over halfway through my challenge, and I think I’m still going strong. Some of my favorite blog posts to write are the ones where I’m sharing my favorite things. I thought it would be really fitting to share some of the blogs that have influenced me as I try and become more involved in the blogging community. Since it’s day 8 of my blogging challenge, here are 8 of my favorite blogs that I follow.
It’s Self-Care Sunday, and it’s also day 3 of my blogging challenge. Now that I can finally do some unwinding with school being over for a bit, I wanted to take the time to share some of my favorite things I do to relax. Maybe you can relate to me on some of these things, […]
