Since today is Mother’s Day and day 10 of my blogging challenge, I am going to open up and get really personal with you today. The thing about a lot of bloggers is that they open up and really expose themselves to you, and their life seems perfect. The truth is that no one’s life is imperfect, and if you were to ask me about the imperfect parts of my life, I would say it’s my relationship with my mom. And that’s okay. Day 9, and since it’s Saturday, I thought I would take the time to give into my daydreams for today. According to The New York Times, the unemployment rate went to 14.7% this past April, which is the worst it’s been since the Great Depression. I am one of those unemployed people, and it’s a little discouraging to hear that number doesn’t show any signs of going down. To pull me out of the sad prospect of that, I wanted to let myself daydream as we slow-down on this lovely Saturday. To give you more insight into who I am, I’m going to complete a Proust Questionnaire. The Proust Questionnaire is 35 questions designed to reveal a person’s true nature. Marcel Proust was a writer who used these questions at parties that he hosted, and he believed that characters who were completely developed were able to answer these questions.
